This outfit is made up of three things that are extremely versatile wardrobe pieces: a soft cotton ribbed top, a white denim skirt, and fashionable sneakers. I bought this white denim skirt at the beginning of spring for another option when styling my tops. Admittedly I can find myself wearing the same one pair of denim shorts each summer, alternated with all my favorite dresses. This skirt is a great alternative for those shorts outfits because it’s a neutral color and will look cute with practically any top and shoes you throw at it.

This was Memorial Day Monday and we three headed for a remembrance ceremony that morning, then spent a few hours in downtown Round Rock eating lunch. I put together this outfit to be fuss-free and comfortable. This pink ribbed top from Reformation is so soft, thin, and tucks easily into anything. It’s really a great basic piece to have in your closet; I can see myself wearing it a lot with layers when fall rolls around.

A pink belt bag that’s the modern version of the fanny pack was so useful to hold my essentials and keep my hands free. I definitely find myself ditching my larger leather satchels, which just feel like extra baggage, in this hot season. Enter this cute little belt bag which integrates right into my outfit! Threaded through the waist loops like a belt, it’s nice that I don’t have to give it a second thought once it’s attached. White Vans sneakers kept my feet happy for lots of walking and standing. I’ve now worn these high-top sneakers with all manner of outfits — dresses, jeans, skirts, and shorts (though I haven’t posted that to the blog yet). They’ve looked great with everything, proof that they’re a classic and versatile wardrobe basic.
