I’ve been passionate about nontoxic beauty for many years. It started with at home beauty treatments I made from things in my kitchen, like avocado-and-egg hair masks and coffee-grounds body scrubs. In fact, my childhood friend and I schemed of starting our own business about it, because at the time there weren’t many options out there if you just wanted to buy something off the shelves. We had recipes and formulas created and even a name for our business! But things never got off the ground as other responsibilities and our lives in different cities took over, and eventually my inspiration to create something shifted and led me to starting this blog. The passion about nontoxic beauty has never left me though, and I’ve continued through the years to seek out the best and cleanest beauty brands out there for myself and my family. These are three nontoxic beauty brands I love and which products I currently use.
Indie Lee Serum and Moisturizer
Indie Lee will always hold a special place in my heart because it’s one of the original clean beauty brands. I remember it being one of very few options out there when I first started looking for nontoxic products. I got tons of inspiration for my own recipes by learning about the different herbs and oils used in her formulas. I currently use the Daily Vitamin Infusion serum followed by the Daily Skin Nutrition moisturizer for my nighttime routine. They’re both extremely light and clean feeling on my skin, and I love the thought of my skin being infused with goodness while I sleep.
Agent Nateur Holi Oil Youth Serum
Agent Nateur is a new-to-me brand that I’ve been using for a couple months now. I was introduced to it via the Detox Box, a clean beauty monthly subscription box that was gifted to me which I absolutely LOVE to get each month. I’ve come to know some incredible nontoxic beauty brands that I’m excited to share more about on here. This Holi Oil Youth Serum stands out as my favorite product I’ve received thus far. It smells like the sweet, delicate scent of heaven in a bottle thanks to ingredients like organic rosehip and helichrysum oils. I use this in the morning, usually on days when I’ll be going out of the house, because it gives an incredible glow to my skin. (I talked about my other go-to morning serum in this post.)
W3ll People Makeup
I can’t talk about nontoxic beauty brands without mentioning W3ll People, because I’ve been using their nontoxic makeup products almost exclusively for over two years now. I’ve posted about this brand previously in this post, but here I want to talk about two products I can’t live without this summer. I’ve been nixing my base of a tinted moisturizer for going natural, so lately after applying my serum, I go straight to sweeping the Bio Bronzer baked powder along my bronzing zones (forehead, cheeks, chin, and nose). Then I brush my eyebrows with the Expressionist brow gel, and finish with mascara and a colored lip. If you’re a brow gel skeptic, let me assure you that nothing compares to this stuff! When I tried this gel in the store, my jaw hit the floor and I couldn’t ditch my Anastasia brow products fast enough. If you like defined eyebrows that aren’t drawn on, you will wonder why you ever messed with anything else after you try this gel.
I’ve tried my fair share of nontoxic beauty brands through the years and these are some of the best brands and products I’ve found! Which of these products can you not wait to get your hands on?! Tell me in the comments below!
