The temperatures in Austin have finally started to drop and we’ve been having the most perfect sunny days with a cool breeze in the air. This plaid cowlneck fringe sweater is the second piece I bought from the Adam Lippes for Target collection (you can see the other item I bought here) and I’m convinced it’s the perfect fall transitioning piece for the changing weather — it will be so cozy when layered for even colder temperatures too.
Since the days are still warm I wore the sweater sleeveless with a black faux snakeskin skirt from Zara. I kept my accessories all black to emphasize the details of the sweater, but the snakeskin textures and gold hardware lend a ‘heaviness’ to the look that balances out the sweater. I wore this outfit to work (hence the wrinkles!) and then to another local Oktoberfest celebration with family that evening.
I’ve linked this sweater as well as some others I love below. I’m definitely starting to stock up on this essential for the winter months ahead! What is your favorite thing to wear to transition with the changing weather?

Love the collar of the sweater!
I’m jealous that you’re still able to wear bare legs. It’s way too cold for that here already!
And that lipstick looks AMAZING on you!

Cute sweater… from the front view, it looks like a dress with a dark under-layer peeking out. I like the close-up view of the skirt showing the texture, goes really well with the texture of the sweater. I can’t wait to see how you wear it in the cold.

Thank you! I really liked the mix of textures too and Blake captured it perfectly with that shot!
