June is upon us and the start of the summer season is right around the corner. I’ve always preferred dressing for warm weather over having to be bundled and layered in the cold; any outfit that involves three pieces of clothing or less has major winning points for me.
I picked up this perfect peplum top at the start of spring and I’ve worn it numerous times since then; the fabric is light and airy, the peplum hem is breezy and feminine, and the chambray color with white stripes is an always-classic pattern (it’s on sale for $13 right now!). I love it paired with white skinny jeans and my favorite boater hat (last seen here and here) to make me feel like I should be picnicking by the water.
These blush suede lace-up espadrilles are another item I reach for constantly; the color is so soft that they’re neutral enough to go with anything and the style is so cute for summer. We spent the afternoon at Mozart’s Coffee Roasters which is the place to go if you love coffee, pastries, and gorgeous Lake Austin views. I carried a lightweight jacket in case there was a breeze by the water but it was warm enough this day that I didn’t really need it. It was a perfect summer outfit for a day spent by the water!
