It’s not often you’ll find me wearing jeans in summer in Texas. I stick mostly to my dresses and shorts outfits, but sometimes I just want to change it up! We headed to a family occasion dinner and I traded my usual dress for this cute summery top and jeans outfit.
This pair of jeans works for summer because the cropped wide leg leaves a fair amount of skin exposed so you can still catch a breeze. The cut isn’t too fitted which leaves room to move and breathe. And because they’re bright white, they don’t absorb as much heat. They’re as practical as you can get for wearing jeans in summer! And they’re easily dressed up with platform wedges like these yellow espadrilles. I love having these cute jeans as an option for a different type of dressy summer outfit.
These wide leg jeans would look great with basically any style of top. I wore this pink button front top that has the cutest knot tied at the waist. It’s the little details like this that I’m all about. I also like the rougher, natural texture of the jacquard fabric which seems to wick away moisture rather than hold it. It’s such a cute, flattering top! I linked more from Madewell’s Texture and Thread collection below, which has so many cute tops I want, including this smocked peplum top and this striped one.
