Blake and I found ourselves with an open day on Sunday and decided to head into the heart of the city to spend the afternoon wandering along South Congress Avenue, a unique shopping and cultural district in Austin. We whiled away the afternoon poking around the eclectic shops, restaurants, food trucks, boutiques, and art & music galleries, and then popped into South Congress Cafe for a coffee break.
I knew I’d have to keep some key things in mind when picking my outfit. For one, lots of walking = comfortable shoes that aren’t going to have me hurting at the end of the day, and these color-block sandals from Old Navy were so easy and effortless for walking up and down SoCo. I’ve worn them practically every other day since I got them and I can’t get over how cute and versatile they are.
I also chose to wear this shirt because it’s made of the lightest silky fabric that was perfect now that we’ve reached the dreaded over-100* days, and since it needed some sort of undershirt, I put a white lace bandeau underneath. It was just enough to peek out the front without making me feel like I was layering up, because getting away with as few clothes as possible is definitely a priority in this heat. I finished the outfit with these perfect chambray scalloped shorts from Gap (because what’s not to love about scallops and chambray!)
I’ll be sneaking in pics of Blake here and there because he’s too fashionable and good lookin’ not to ;) This is probably one of my favorite pics of him with 2 of his favorite things — Broncos and bikes :) Thanks so much for reading!

Love, love, love this South Congress outfit… I think I need a pair of chambray shorts. I did see this exact top, and I like it the white also, and the black, and I also found the other one on your feed above (the 1st one shown) and pinned it in the red.
