While I was shopping online during the holidays I came across this pale pink raincoat and mentally bookmarked it for my wishlist. I like to have quality rainy day gear since soggy and damp is never a look I’m going for. Sometimes I have a couple minutes’ walk between my car and office so having gear that keeps me from getting soaked is imperative. I don’t want to be stuck wearing the same couple items every time it rains and I immediately wanted this soft pink rain slicker!

A few days after seeing it online, I was in Madewell looking for this sherpa coat and to my complete surprise I found the raincoat instead! There were two left in my size and on major sale so it went home with me. I talked about some of my other rainy day gear (my Hunter boots and a Vera Bradley printed umbrella) in this post. Since then I’ve added this blue Hunter bubble umbrella that matches my boots. I’m building up quite the collection over the years!

I wore my raincoat on a chilly, drizzly day with a gray turtleneck sweater from Loft, my white trousers, and pink Tieks. I’ve worn each of these pieces in other posts here, here, and here. We walked around the Domain and I stayed warm and dry thanks to not getting my clothes damp. When we came to this colorfully painted wall of the newly opened Erin Condren store, we took some pictures before going inside.

We were greeted with a rainbow staircase and shelves filled with the prettiest stationary and journals! I wanted everything for myself and saw several items that would’ve made perfect gifts if I’d known about it before the holidays. My favorite parts of the store were the beautiful wrapping paper, the towering white metal trees, and the pink wall that perfectly matched my raincoat! If you’re in Austin check it out, it’s such a fun store to wander around!

So far this is my only rubber raincoat but I hope to get other colors! I also still love my trench coat for rainy days which was always my go-to before I got this Stutterheim. I agree, it’s great to have options :)
