If there’s one piece of clothing to make me feel feminine, it’s a pleated maxi skirt like this nude and mint green color-blocked beauty. I’ve had this skirt for a few years and I still love to bring it out in the warmer months. The fabric is incredibly lightweight and feels like I’m hardly wearing anything; my favorite thing is the way it flutters in the lightest breeze and shows off the movement of the pleats.
I wear this skirt to work frequently because it’s a nice alternative to trousers or a pencil skirt. I usually style it like I did here keeping the color palette light; pairing anything too dark would be too heavy and look unbalanced with the skirt. This simple white top with its lace yoke detailing adds another feminine touch to the outfit.
I wore these white pumps which are surprisingly walkable for a day at the office and have a great scalloped cut that I love, and my Michael Kors Sutton satchel which is my daily bag that I carry for work. Check out a bunch of pleated maxi skirts that I linked to below — I love this blush floor length one and this one in morning sky.
