When fall hits I usually get inspired to plan some outdoor adventures to get us out and enjoying the beautiful weather. I knew there was a lavender farm within a couple hours of the city so we headed there on a Saturday in September.
The calendar may say one thing, but it was still pretty warm that afternoon. I wore this periwinkle blue embroidered dress that has been my favorite purchase recently. The color is perfect, the embroidery is so lovely, and the overall quality is everything I look for in a piece of clothing. It’s also on sale right now for $27 (down from $90)! Now that the weather is cooling off I’ve been wearing it with a light jacket; it looks so great with a trench coat!
We missed the prime blooming time by a couple weeks but there were still flowers on some of the plants. It was so neat to watch our Mer-bear smell (and taste!) the aromatic purple blooms. There were also a few animals on the farm that she loved looking at. We happened to be there right at feeding time so one of the ladies gave us some leaves and let Merritt feed the goats. It was such a fun afternoon that we’re planning to go back in the spring and hopefully time it better to catch the plants in full glorious bloom.
I’ve linked this dress along with several other blue embroidered dresses I want, some as low as $14! I love the color so much that this one and this one are next on my list to buy. Which is your favorite?
