With Halloween just days away, I thought it’d be fun to share some Halloween party food ideas for anyone that may have a spooky bash, costume party, or an office potluck coming up. My sisters and I threw a sweet and savory themed party last year to celebrate Halloween as well as National Chocolate Day, which falls on October 28. We had a table full of terrifying and yummy treats that I hope inspires you to get into the spirit for your next Halloween party!
We tried to keep a balance between chocolate and non-chocolate foods so we wouldn’t be filling up on sweets all night, with one rule that each food had to be Halloween-themed. For our horrifying hors d’ouevres, we snacked on Frankenstein’s eyeballs and mummified jalepeno poppers. We feasted on stuffed jack-o-lanterns and baked headless horseman’s gourd, both yummy meat-filled dishes, with a side of severed fingers as the main course.
For dessert, we indulged on monster krispies, werewolf paws, pumpkin patch pretzels, and devil’s chocolate cheesecake. We brewed up some poison apple punch and black magic cocoa to sip throughout the night. We had so much fun putting this together and the food was devoured! What’s your favorite terrifying treat from our party? Do you have a Halloween dish that you like to make?
All of these recipes were found on or inspired by pins on my Halloween food board.
