A couple weeks ago I attended the fourth ATX Blogger Mixer which was held at a local boutique on West 5th, Found Austin. This was my second blogger meetup to attend and, like the first, it was a fun night filled with yummy foods, giveaways, and lots of opportunities to connect with other bloggers. The night was a perfect blend of luxury and fashion. We enjoyed sumptuous gold-dusted sweets and treats from Simon Lee Bakery (the same bakery that did my wedding cakes!) as well as some of the best sips I’ve ever enjoyed from Austin Cocktails — their cucumber vodka mojito topped with a fresh raspberry was deliciously light and refreshing.
The boutique itself was so gorgeous and luxe inside with geometric wallpapers, gold and black furniture and accents, and dressing rooms complete with leopard printed carpet and a ‘Press for Champagne’ button. It had me dying to add some black-and-white printed wallpaper in my house (thinking something like this for the downstairs bath or this for the wall behind my office desk!)
To top off this lovely and fancy evening, we had Kelly Wynne speak about her experience with creating her line of handbags and were the first to get a sneak peek at her new Fall line, Studio 15, as well as the chance to win one of them!
I slipped into this silky orange dress that I scored from Target last summer. Since the dress’s bright color is such a statement piece on its own, I kept my details minimal with some simple gold jewelry, strappy sandals, and a pop of bold stripes in my bag to offset the color of the dress. This dress is easily one of my favorite styles to wear; it feels so nice to slip it on and I love that there’s no fuss about it — no zipping, adjusting, tucking, etc. — just put it on and go!
On a different note, today marks three years since Blake and I got married! Every day I’m grateful to have such an incredible partner by my side. He is my best friend, makes me laugh daily, supports me in everything I do, and has an amazing heart that inspires me to be a better person each day. I couldn’t imagine a life without him!
