One of my favorite things about dressing for this time of year is all the textures and colors that are associated with the season. I love to wrap up in luxe suedes, furs, and leathers in deep jewel tones that embody the colors of the changing landscape.
Blake and I had our niece’s baptism the first weekend of November so we both got dressed up for the occasion. I found every item in this outfit from Forever 21, one of my favorite stores for clothing that’s on trend but still affordable. I’ve been wanting a suede dress or skirt and this one was only $30 so I couldn’t pass it up. I love the rust-colored shade and the asymmetrical slit in the front, and even though the x-small was still a little big on me, I thought for the price it was worth paying a little extra to (eventually) have it tailored to fit me better. I already have plans to wear this dress with a thick sweater on top and booties for even cooler weather.
The faux fur vest was another must-have item as soon as I saw it. I love the colors in it–most of the fur vests I come across are primarily brown-ish colored and I love that this one overall had lighter colors, and didn’t fit as boxy as some that I’ve tried. This too can be worn all fall and winter long, layered over thick sweaters and under thicker coats to keep warm and cozy in the chilly temps. The marsala chain crossbody bag and blue suede shoes were the icing on top, and I love that I was able to create this entire outfit by visiting only one store. Blake also found his jeans at F21 (a huge win because he can be picky about the fit of his jeans!) and his button up shirt at Banana Republic.
Thanks for stopping by and if you didn’t catch it last week, check my post here for a giveaway that you can enter through this Friday, November 13!
