It’s a lovely thing to put on an outfit that makes you feel like the bad boss woman you know you are. Can anyone honestly say they’ve never experienced that feeling when you’re so into your outfit you’ve got that “I’m born to be the CEO of my life” mood? Like you will handle anything and everything that comes your way with confidence and clarity because you’ve got a bangin’ outfit on your side today? We all know the feeling when your outfit is so on point, you feel like you hit the fashion jackpot. So the CEO in you should know it’s wise to have one or a few of these items of clothing in your closet for whenever the occasion or mood calls. This dress is just such an item to evoke those feelings.

This is a dress that simply can’t be ignored. It moves in with it’s tiny, delicate floral print and oh so sweetly says, “Hey you, take a look over here.” Once it has your attention, it dazzles with every beautiful, flattering detail. From the sweetheart neckline, to the tiny straps that tie in bows at the back, leading to the smocking detail at the zipper, and the sky-high slit that ensures even those of us who are fun-sized won’t look shortened by the midi length…it has something pretty to feast your eyes on from every viewing angle. It’s the kind of dress that says, “I got you, girl”, no matter what is on the agenda.

I’ve worn this dress for everything from staying home all day (yes, really) to going out on a Saturday night. I haven’t even been interested in wearing it with dressy shoes (though it would look incredible with these espadrilles I have). It’s such a great piece on it’s own that I love to let it be the main statement and keep everything else understated. Wearing it with my pastel yellow Vans high top sneakers is my favorite way to style it — so much that I have the same dress in this solid color which I’ve worn with the same high top sneakers in this floral print. Perhaps I’ll just call this my signature look, one and done, here’s what you’ll see me in for the rest of my life. I’d be okay with that.

I wore it this evening to a shindig at a friend’s classic car garage in the Texas hill country. We popped down the road for golden hour pictures in the beautiful countryside before the party started. We weren’t in this spot a couple minutes before a herd of longhorn cows meandered up to the fence, and if you’re thinking what I’m thinking…it was most likely this magnetic dress that drew them over. I mean even the cows needed a closer look. If that doesn’t convince you, then maybe the fact that this beauty is on sale in this floral print, this gingham print, and this solid color will. Which one is your favorite? Leave a comment and tell me!
