DIY Halloween Decorations: Spooky Wooden Sign
Make this spooky wooden sign for under $5! The supplies you need are:
- a scrap piece of plywood
- black spray paint
- this Halloween printable printed on 11×17 paper
- brewed black tea or coffee
- a lighter
- double stick tape
Print the Halloween sign on 11×17 size paper. Cut the excess white around the edges off; I left about an inch of white space around my words. Cut the plywood slightly bigger than the printable. If you don’t already have spare wood to use, usually home improvement stores have a scrap bin where you can find one for a couple dollars. Spray paint the wood black on both sides.
To give the sign an aged look, pour brewed black tea or coffee in a shallow dish. Crumple the paper and dip it in the tea or coffee to stain it. Do this a couple times depending on how heavy of a paper you used. When it’s dry, use a lighter to burn the edges. Attach it to the wood with double stick tape.
