A favorite activity of ours is to load up in our 1959 F100 truck and go for a country cruise. There’s no a/c so we always have the windows down, hair blowing and music playing, bouncing along carefree and content. It’s been affectionately dubbed “Homeboy” and it’s the perfect vehicle for our little family drives.
We recently thought we’d be getting rid of the truck so we went for a final drive and some photos. Thanks to some modifications to the seat, Merritt’s car seat base straps in just like a modern vehicle, and we wanted to be able to show her the first classic car she rode in. Things worked out so we’ve actually kept the truck and we’re so glad about it! It’s so reliable that Blake drives it everywhere daily, and I love that it makes you slow down and appreciate the ride to your destination.
I wore a mint green linen shirt from Old Navy that I’ve had for a few years, a pair of boyfriend-fit destroyed Levis, and navy blue suede pumps that I bring out every fall. I have this shirt in blue too and it’s something I wear constantly! It’s one of those staples that will never go out of style. What’s your favorite staple piece of clothing in your closet?

I love those shoes! And they totally elevate your otherwise casual look – just thinking if you were wearing flipflops how different this look would be… and wondering if I could get away with adding heels to my classic casual outfit of jeans and a hoodie – HA! Also, as usual, I’m swooning over the worn paint and patina on that truck! So glad you guys figured out a way to keep it!

Ha! Check out @wendyslookbook on Instagram, she recently wore an outfit that was a Hanes hoodie, jeans, heels, and an overcoat – it looked so chic! I commented how only she could make a Hanes hoodie look that fashionable.
And yes to the truck! We are so happy it’s still with us :)
