We woke early on our last morning in Arizona to watch the sunrise over the desert and the far-off mountains. We stayed at a casita rental just outside of Scottsdale because we wanted to really experience the desert landscape while in Arizona. It was the best decision we made!
The casita was on the larger property of the owner’s own home. We had the use of the main house’s pool as well as our own sizeable space with a personal fire pit and outdoor seating area, which we used every evening. We had the opportunity to meet and chat with the owners who were a pleasure, and they invited us to use their own rooftop area to enjoy the views whenever we wanted. We did just that to watch the sunrise on our final morning there.
We’d booked an early afternoon flight home which gave us the time to have a leisurely last morning at the casita. Once our little tot woke up, we spent time relaxing, sipping coffee, and letting her play and explore around the property in the warm morning sun. We definitely didn’t want to leave!
I wore a cute and comfortable outfit for the trip home that was inspired by the warm deep hues of the desert. This magenta off-the-shoulder top was as vibrant as the colors in the sunrise. I’m usually dressed in soft pastels, but the southwestern scenery made me want to dress to complement my surroundings and I’d planned accordingly with my outfits. These two-tone shorts are my favorite pair and go with practically everything! I continued my theme of wearing these flatform espadrilles because they’re comfortable and cute.
As the morning sun continued to rise, we packed our things into the car and had one final unexpected adventure before we finally headed to the airport. Stay tuned to see what it was!
