In case my last post didn’t convince you enough on why you need a jumpsuit (or two) for warm weather, here’s another jumpsuit outfit that I love for these spring days. Whereas I last wore a linen piece dressed up for date night, this 70s style patchwork cutie from Madewell sums up exactly what I want to lounge in on a lazy afternoon.

This jumpsuit offers comfort to the max. No waistline means it drapes loosely from your shoulders and only brushes your skin here and there, so your forget you’re even wearing anything. The ties on the back make it adjustable for even more looseness and comfort if you want it. It also has super wide legs which means you have complete range of motion to jump, play, lounge, etc. To add to the goodness, it’s made from leftover textiles from mills as part of the Madewell x The New Denim Project collection. Anything that aims to recycle and be more sustainable is an effort worth supporting! I try to remember that I ‘vote’ with my money, and I want to support causes that support our earth!

For such a casual, comfy outfit, it only makes sense to pair casual and comfy shoes. My classic Keds sneakers are just that, and I love that they have a vintage throwback quality because it pairs perfectly with the homespun 70s style of the collection pieces. I carried a soft chenille cardigan because the evenings can be cool in spring, and I wore this outfit to a backyard grill at a friend’s house. Needless to say, I was comfortable all afternoon and chased and played with our little girl with no problem.

just curious what did you wear underneath? I’m kinda large chested and just ordered this, Nervous it won’t work for me

Hi Reena! I actually didn’t wear anything (perks of being small-chested). Some options you could consider are a tube-style strapless bra, or a regular bra might work because the jumpsuit straps are so wide. I’ve also worn a bra under a jumpsuit where the bra peeked out purposely (like in this outfit) so that’s another option you could consider. I hope you love the jumpsuit as much as I do! :)
